Start a Sew-Along, Start a Blog

The sewing mojo has been sleeping a while, but has been awakened by the Wardrobe Basics Sew-along, so I'm in.  Many thanks to Lori at Girls in the Garden and Lynne at Wonderfully Made for leading this sew-along.

The first item up is the skinny black ponte pants.  The fabric is on its way from Mood (I finally used my Groupon, bought back in August) and the pattern is as-yet undetermined, but here are some contenders:
McCall's 6440
Vogue 1264

I like the cut of these pants patterns, but my real goal here is to finally make a pair of fly-front pants, so they'd have to be adapted.  There are also any number of Burda magazine patterns which should work.  I have a few days before the fabric arrives to make my decision.

I'm really looking forward to this!

  1. Looks like you have a great start on the pattern decision process. Find anything in Burda you like? I ordered more ponte today, since my black didn't arrive (sold out)

  3. You can find the faux leather at Sawyer Brook. Sorry to leave the message here but you didn't have an email associated with your blogger ID.
